USD/CHF Technical Analysis
The technical analysis of the USDCHF price chart on 4-hour timeframe shows USDCHF,H4 is retreating to test the 200-period moving average MA(200) which is rising itself. We believe the bearish momentum will continue after the price breaches below the lower bound of the Donchian channel at 0.9080. A level below this can be used as an entry point for placing a pending order to sell. The stop loss can be placed above 0.9178. After placing the order, the stop loss is to be moved to the next fractal high indicator, following Parabolic signals. Thus, we are changing the expected profit/loss ratio to the breakeven point. If the price meets the stop loss level without reaching the order, we recommend cancelling the order: the market has undergone internal changes which were not taken into account.

Swiss consumer price inflation rose more than expected in April. Will the USDCHF price retreating continue?
Swiss consumer price inflation (CPI) accelerated more than expected in April. Federal Statistics Office reported CPI rose 1.4% from a year ago in April, up from 1% growth in March when 1.1% growth was forecast. It hit the highest reading since December 2023, mainly driven by a strong rebound in prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages. At the same time, the core inflation rate, which excludes volatile items such as unprocessed food and energy, increased 1.2% over year in April, up from a previous 1% rise. Higher than forecast consumer inflation is bullish for Swiss franc and bearish for USDCHF.
