Mario Draghi ECB Press Conference, Euro Volatile - 3.5.2012
ECB President Mario Draghi said that the economic outlook is subject to downside risks and also that recent market data highlight prevailing uncertainty, at the Thursday’s ECB press conference. He also said that inflation is expected to stay above 2 per cent in 2012 and that it is essential for banks to strengthen their resilience further, including retaining earnings. Additionally, Draghi said that Europeans have to decide what kind of union they want and should discuss where they see euro in 10 years. The euro was very volatile during the press conference, it dropped suddenly to 1.3096 and then jumped to the 1.3174.
