The CFTC Report- Net Positions Remain Steady

The latest report by Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) shows that investors did not build extensively on current positions rather they have moderated their net positions. The net short on the Euro moderated by $1.1 billion, the Australian dollar net short also moderated by $0.67 billion and the Canadian net short calmed slightly too. On the contrary, the Japanese Yen against the US dollar increased its net short. The British pound maintains the highest Long/Short ratio while Japanese Yen is on the opposite side.


Traders have covered somewhat their short positions on the Australian dollar with the exchange rate currently testing cap at 0.9067. We would wait to see what is going to develop in 0.9067/0.8928 sideways zone.


The Euro has the highest weekly change and the second highest Long/Short ratio. Its near to zero net position suggests that the future trend is uncertain among speculators.
